Just when I thought I was bored of vampire stories, Milkteeth came along with all of its new lore and gore and rekindled my interest. I love the way it explores vampire development, physiology, and social structure. Beatrice is an interesting character who is tender towards her brood but very much capable of being vicious and animalistic. The story contains some excellent body horror and does not shy away from the more gruesome aspects of the vampiric lifestyle. This was only my second of Caitlin Starling's books and she is now an auto-buy author for me.

Milkteeth comes out on November 10th and I will definitely be picking up a copy for my shelf. Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
