After a night out, Emily wakes in a strange bed with her fiancée Jack nowhere to be found. She soon discovers she is trapped in a picture frame, part of an elaborate living still life orchestrated by a strange woman who expects Emily to help her carry out her macabre artistic vision.

This one didn't quite work for me. I liked how the POV switches between Emily and Jack throughout the book and the premise is interesting. Unfortunately, the plot felt slow and repetitive to me and the characters were a bit flat. Not my favourite Josh Malerman book and more of a thriller than a horror novel, but I still enjoyed it well enough.
